Mango
(Mangifera Indica L) is native to the south asian region where it has
been under cultivation and dissemination for thousands of years.
Mango
trees are known for their delicious fruits. Once the mango trees have
stopped producing fruits, they are chopped to allow reseeding of younger
plants.
Considered as having no further use, the chopped woods were thrown away.
Not until recently did the southeast asian craftsmen find the hidden beauty
of the mango wood. |

Unlike
teak, mahogany or other types of wood that has been used to make furnitures
and has been causing deforestation issues in the south east asian countries,
mango trees that have been chopped down are easily available and together
with the faster regeneration process, make these trees much more “environmentally
and ecologically friendly” than the others.
Each mango wood is properly selected before being turned into a beautiful
piece of art. Individually handcrafted from one-piece solid wood (except
for the very large piece) with exceptional craftsmanship. To take out
the moisture trapped inside the wood, each of them is properly dried (kiln-dried)
using high temperature.

With
its distinctive texture, unique grain, natural finish and numerious design
availability, will make any home concept design: be it contemporary, classic,
rustic, asian, european or american feel at home. |
